This spot was all about finding beauty in the everyday. We built a custom set inside a house—transforming a hallway closet into a workable shooting space—and crafted multiple lighting setups to cover both broadcast and social media formats. The goal was to create something that felt intimate, honest, and grounded, while still carrying a strong visual identity.

The project went on to win a Gold ADDY and an ADDY for Single Element Cinematography, and stands as a great example of how constraint can spark creativity.

Lighting & Cinematography – Riceland Rice

This shoot was a challenge in subtlety and control. We built a custom set inside a real home, converting a narrow hallway and closet into a versatile shooting environment. With limited space and time, lighting became a key storytelling tool.

Working closely with the gaffer and production designer, we developed multiple lighting setups to give the space distinct visual identities—each one tailored to a different version of the spot, from moody, textural interiors for social cuts to brighter, more open looks for broadcast.

Much of the work was about creating variation within tight parameters—shaping light to define time of day, emotion, and rhythm, all while keeping the camera movements minimal and intentional. The project ended up receiving awards for both overall craft and single element cinematography, which was a huge honor and a testament to the team effort behind the visuals.
