COMMERCIAL in review

The past few years in commercial work have taught me a lot—not just about cameras or lighting, but about adaptability, trust, and the value of staying grounded when everything around you is shifting. I’ve come to think of production like sailing: you can map out a course and prep every detail, but once you're out there, conditions change. Fast.

I’ve learned to welcome that chaos. To lead with flexibility. To think two or three steps ahead while staying open to new ideas in the moment. That mindset—paired with a focus on dynamic lighting and purposeful camera movement—has helped me stay creative under pressure, and keep the story front and center no matter what.

One of the things I’ve appreciated most is the collaboration. Whether it’s a quick-turn social spot or a larger campaign, every job brings a new team, a new brand, a new set of problems to solve—and I genuinely enjoy showing up with a fresh perspective and finding the visual language together.

As I look ahead to 2025, I feel excited. The work is never easy, but I wouldn’t want it to be. I’m hopeful for the challenges to come, the new partnerships to build, and the unexpected turns that make this work worth doing.
